After driving along the Ionian coast, we will reach Messina, the “gateway to Italy”. Orientation tour to the town and stop on the Cathedral square. Visit the “Duomo”, a very beautiful building from the 1100 AD. and enjoy the mechanical and astronomical Clock housed in the wonderful campanile, which stands next to the Church. Free time for “optional” lunch. Take the ferry- boat to Reggio Calabria and after 25 minutes, you will land on the “mainland”! Visit the Archeological Museum which displays the most beautiful collections of Greek artefacts. The highlights of the museum are the “Bronzes of Riace”, two astonishing bronze statues from V cent BC, recovered in the sea off the coast of Reggio, in 1972.

This trip lasts about 7-8 hours.
