Messina & Taormina

Full Day (maximum 7 hours)

Itinerary:A panoramic tour of Messina.Stop at the Cathedral square. You will see the 213 ft clock tower (or “Campanile”) with the largest astronomical clock in the world, built by a Strasbourg firm in 1933. Next to the Duomo is the marble Fountain of “Orion” by G. Angelo Montorsoli, a very elegant representation of Messina’s mythological founder. Continue along the scenic coastal road to Taormina, the most famous and charming resort town of Sicily. Visit the Greek-Roman theatre, then time at leisure for shopping in the main pedestrian street, Corso Umberto.
Back to the port at the end of the tour.

Mount Etna & Taormina

Full Day (maximum 7 hours)

Itinerary: On this tour, we will drive to the highest and the most active volcano of Europe: Mt Etna. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful and incredible landscape rich with vegetation of varied colours. Reaching the Etna Refuge at 1900 meters, you will have time for trekking, and you can visit the Silvestri Craters (extinct craters).
Afterwards we will drive up to Taormina, the most famous and visited resort town in Sicily, where you will visit the Greek-Theatre (admission fee not included) and will enjoy free time for shopping and exploring the many cafes. After that we will drive back to the port.

On the path of the Godfather – Savoca & Forza d’Agrò and the Alcantara gorges

Itinerary:
We drive uphill to Savoca, one of the most famous and lovely small towns in the area of  Taormina. Here Francis Ford Coppola filmed the movie “The Godfather I”. Then continuing to Forza d’Agrò, a small medieval town, overlooking the Ionian Sea where Al Pacino and Coppola shot several scenes for “The Godfather II”. Procceding on to Motta di Camastra, where part of “the Godfather III” was shot. On the way back visit to the Alcantara gorges, of volcanic origin.
